Cookie policy

MailScouter launches without visitor tracking cookies.

The current site code does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or affiliate-tracking cookies. This page explains what that means and what must happen before non-essential tracking can be enabled.

Current implementation

No non-essential storage is intentionally used by MailScouter at launch.

The generated MailScouter site does not include Google Analytics, advertising pixels, heatmaps, session recording, embedded social widgets or active affiliate-tracking scripts. The software finder runs in the browser without saving answers to cookies or local storage.

Because non-essential tracking is disabled, MailScouter does not show a cookie-consent banner in the launch build. A banner would add complexity without presenting a real choice when there are no optional tags to accept.

The build includes an automated code check that fails if analytics or advertising tags are introduced while the analytics configuration remains disabled.

Terminology

Cookies are only one form of browser-side storage.

01

Cookies

Small text values stored by a browser and sent with later requests to the relevant website or service.

02

Local storage

Browser storage that can retain information without automatically sending it with every request.

03

Tracking pixels and tags

Code or remote resources that may transmit visit, device or interaction data to another service.

04

Strictly necessary technology

Storage or processing required to provide a service requested by the visitor, maintain security or remember a privacy choice.

Links to software vendors

Leaving MailScouter means entering another website’s environment.

Product, pricing and source links may open official vendor or documentation websites. Those external services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. MailScouter does not control the destination website’s storage, consent banner or data processing.

At launch, MailScouter has no active affiliate relationships and the product links in the site are ordinary vendor links. If tracked affiliate URLs are added later, the affiliate disclosure and this cookie policy must be updated before publication.

Before analytics or tracking is enabled

A valid consent flow must be implemented first.

Production guard:

The included site-config.json keeps analytics disabled. Do not change that setting merely by adding a measurement ID. A compliant consent manager must be selected and tested first.

Your controls

No MailScouter tracking preference is currently stored.

There is nothing to accept or reject in the launch build because optional visitor tracking is not enabled.

Browser settings

You can inspect, block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect other websites you visit.

External vendor sites

Use the privacy controls offered by the destination website after following an external link.

Policy updates

The revision date will change when cookies, analytics, affiliate tracking or consent technology are materially changed.
