Quick verdict

MailerLite is easiest to recommend when simplicity is the priority.

MailerLite's strongest case is not that it offers every advanced marketing feature. It is that a small team can run campaigns, forms, landing pages and useful automations without immediately assembling a larger software stack.

The 2026 plan changes make the buying decision more nuanced. The platform unlocked more tools on Free, but reduced the free allowance to 250 active subscribers and 2,500 monthly emails. Comfort now starts at $12 per month and Power at $25 per month, with different usage limits and support levels.

Best for

  • Small businesses
  • Freelancers and consultants
  • Bloggers and early-stage creators
  • Teams prioritizing ease of use

Look elsewhere when

  • Businesses needing deep CRM and sales pipelines
  • Complex multi-branch automation programs
  • Large teams needing unlimited seats on lower plans
  • Buyers choosing mainly for a large free subscriber allowance
Our bottom line

Choose MailerLite when you want a clean, integrated email workflow and your requirements fit comfortably inside its plan limits. Compare alternatives before committing if advanced CRM, ecommerce specialization or complex automation is central to the purchase.

Capability assessment

Where MailerLite is strong—and where the plan level matters.

Ease of use

9/10

MailerLite deliberately positions itself around accessible creation tools. Its product combines campaign editing, forms, landing pages and automation without requiring several separate products.

Email creation

8/10

The platform includes drag-and-drop, custom HTML and simple editors. Its content blocks cover practical campaign elements such as surveys, countdown timers, coupons and galleries.

Automation

7/10

Automation is available across the product, but plan limits matter. Free is capped at three automations, Comfort at up to 50 active automations, while Power removes several usage limits and adds multiple triggers.

Lead generation

8/10

Forms, pop-ups, landing pages and websites make MailerLite useful for businesses that want list growth and email delivery in the same system.

Team and support

7/10

Free includes two seats but ongoing direct support is limited after the trial. Comfort adds 24/7 email support, while Power adds unlimited seats and live chat.

Value

8/10

The paid entry points are competitive on paper, but value depends heavily on subscriber count, send volume and whether Comfort's usage limits fit your workflow.

Trade-offs

MailerLite pros and cons

Pros

  • Clear product structure and a relatively approachable workflow for new users.
  • Campaigns, automations, forms, landing pages and a website builder sit in one product.
  • Comfort unlocks useful growth features without requiring the highest plan.
  • Power includes unlimited user seats, unlimited monthly emails and unlimited use of several core tools.
  • A 14-day premium trial is available without a credit card.

Cons

  • The free plan now stops at 250 active subscribers and 2,500 monthly emails.
  • Free accounts rely mainly on self-service resources after the initial 14-day support period.
  • Comfort has usage caps, including limits on active automations, forms and published web assets.
  • Teams requiring advanced CRM, complex attribution or highly specialized ecommerce workflows may need a more focused platform.
  • Pricing increases as the active subscriber tier grows, so list-size forecasting still matters.

What we have not tested

We separate documented features from hands-on claims.

This review is based on current official product, pricing and support documentation. We have not yet run a long-term MailerLite account for a client, measured independent inbox placement, benchmarked editor speed across browsers or timed real support responses.

Those limitations matter. Deliverability depends on list quality, authentication, content and sender behavior—not only the platform. Until MailScouter completes repeatable hands-on testing, we will not publish invented deliverability percentages or claim that support is fast based only on marketing copy.
